DelCo Pride festivals span over two weekends!

Delaware County Pride Parade
To kick off the second annual celebration of Pride in Delaware County, a Pride Parade will be held on State Street in Media, PA 19063, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 12 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. The parade will celebrate and promote the rights and equality of the entire LGBTQQIA+ community, and everyone is invited to come out and show their support. The parade will feature a colorful procession of participants, community groups, non-profits, and performers, showcasing a wide range of expressions from across the spectrum of identities and sexualities. Attendees can expect to see rainbow flags, costumes, banners, music, performers, dance, informational materials, and advocacy efforts from various LGBTQ+ organizations and allies across the region. The parade route is approximately 1 mile in length, with multiple spots for performances. No moving vehicles are allowed in this parade.
Pride on State
Following the annual Delaware County Pride Parade, the celebration will continue into the evening with Pride on State, taking place at various locations in Media, PA 19063, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Organizers will partner with local businesses and organizations across downtown Media to host a variety of LGBTQQIA+ events and activities. Currently, there are no active LGBTQQIA+ bars, nightclubs, or social venues in Delaware County. Pride on State aims to provide an annual space for LGBTQQIA+ youth and adults to celebrate and socialize in Delaware County.
All official Pride on State events will be free to the public.
Delaware County Pride Festival
The Delaware County Pride Festival will take place in front of the Upper Darby Township Municipal Building at 100 Garrett Road, Upper Darby, PA 19082 on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. The festival aims to continue the celebration of Pride in Delco with a variety of activities suitable for all ages, including kid-friendly activities, vendors, music, a DJ, dancing, face painting, nail painting, and other fun activities to be announced. The previous Pride Festivals in Upper Darby in 2021 and 2022 were a huge success, growing to include over 120 vendors and thousands of attendees. This year's event will mark the second annual Delaware County Pride Festival. Delaware County's inaugural Pride Festival last year was a historic success, and this year's festival will return to the Upper Darby Township Building on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
The festival will be free to the community with no admission charge. However, attendees are encouraged to consider donating, as the event is not inexpensive, and organizers rely on community donations and support.
